Wabash Friends Offers An American Heritage Girls’ Troop To Provide A Christian Scouting Program

American Heritage Girls Organization is a scouting program for girls that supports the traditional values of God, Family and Country. AHG's programming promotes the Judeo-Christian values upon which our country was founded and strives to enhance the girl’s life experiences with fun filled activities supervised by trained adults, supported by family members and implemented by members. AHG's programming provides life skills, leadership skills and character building through a traditional troop setting.

American Heritage Girls (AHG) Troops IN 0252 has been chartered by Wabash Friends. AHG is an organization for girls aged 5-18 founded eleven years ago by parents desiring a Christian scouting program for their daughters. AHG’s oath, “I promise to love God, cherish my family, honor my country, and serve in my community” is emphasized through community service projects, merit badges, spiritual development programs, and outdoor experiences.

There will be an informational/registration meeting on January 9th at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Any exposure you can give the new troop by inviting others to this meeting would be appreciated. If you have any questions, call LaVerne Marion at 563-8759 or check out AHG’s website at: www.ahgonline.org

For Kids and Kids at heart.

Jubilee

Jubilee meets during part of the Sunday morning Worship Service. It is for grades 1st through 4th, and 5th & 6th graders who want to help. In Jubilee we have been learning about the fruit of the spirit through singing, skits and toy box tales (see toyboxtales.com). Our 5th & 6th graders help lead worship and participate in skits. We call them the "Jubilee Krew". In May we will be doing skits about four kids and their pastor, learning about being a missionary. Clem (one of the kids) and his family decide to go to the mission field. During free time the kids like to play Speed Stacks and build towers with the Speed Stack cups.
