February is a busy month. The marriage retreat is happening. Winter sneak for teens is going on. That is all going on for the first week end. Thanks for praying that God will work in the lives of those who attend. We have had some cold weather in January. Who knows what February will hold. Some things are sure. The daylight hours will grow longer. Winter is heading into its last month on the 21st. There may be some days that tease us with spring-like weather. We celebrate love on Valentine’s Day. We honor two of our greatest presidents.

Farmers are also thinking about preparing the soil and planting. The equipment and seeds are in place, the farmers are waiting. Waiting for the drying and warming of the soil. Waiting for the time to act and do the work. In our life with Christ every day is a day of preparation- doing the work of drying and warming our hearts- and preparing the hearts of others to plant seeds that will bear fruit. We prepare by sowing seeds of love, grace, mercy, and truth into our hearts and into the hearts of others. We prepare by giving of our resources to build lives in the kingdom of Heaven here on earth.

On Sunday January 10th I challenged you to keep a list of 8-15 people whom you know already and who do not know Christ or are unchurched. In the dreary days of February it does not look like anything is going one. But farmers are at work. During days it does not look like God is working, pray over that list and see how God leads you to be involved in those people’s lives. Plant those seeds. Water those seeds. See how the results that happens in people’s lives. Bear the marks of a follower of Jesus the Messiah.
Have a great February!!!

In Christ's love,
Dave
