24/7 Prayer House

The Hesychia House, located at 433 N. Wabash St., has opened its doors - 24/7 - to the community.

Hesychia House is intended to provide a place where people of all denominations - or no denomination - can come to pray for our community and our nation, and the 24/7 Prayer Ministry encourages people from all churches in the area - particularly Wabash County - to join with others to lift needs before God.

Hesychia is Hebrew for "quiet resting place."

The 24/7 Prayer Ministry, which is modeled after a movement in England, is a "non-profit ministry that relies solely on the generous donations of individuals, churches and other organizations," according to Debbie Sweet, one of the founding members of the local ministry and a member of the board. The book, "Red Moon Rising" tells how God is raising up prayer around the world with 24/7 prayer houses.
